Responsibilities:
- Provide training and support to officers in presenting cases before the Committee, including summarizing key points from past cases and preparing visual representations of key decisions.
- Attend court sittings as a witness or as required.
- Review and maintain policies and procedures for the Enforcement Section.
- Actively participate in Committee meetings, facilitating discussions on legal matters, accessing portals for necessary information, and assisting Committee members as needed.
- Schedule Compliance Monitoring Committee meetings and coordinate with members to ensure availability.
- Act as a point of contact for meeting agendas, distributing them to members, updating as needed, and managing time allocation for discussions.
- Ensure all required documentation and resources for Committee meetings are prepared and available within set timeframes.
- Take detailed minutes of Compliance Monitoring Committee meetings, finalizing and securing all records, including relevant annexes.
- Maintain trackers and logs to monitor Committee decisions and ensure all resolutions are actioned accordingly.
- Liaise with local and international supervisory authorities regarding enforcement measures.
- Contribute to governance programs, strategy development, and process enhancement within the unit.
Requirements:
- An MQF Level 6 qualification in Financial Services, Banking and Finance, Economics, Law, Statistics, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field, with at least four years of relevant work experience OR
- An MQF Level 5 qualification in the above fields with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Experience in scheduling and managing meetings, including minute-taking.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English.
- Translation skills from Maltese to English are considered an asset.
