On behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their expanding Finance Team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements in adherence to regulatory standards.
- Supervise and support accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Maintain accounting systems and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Provide expert guidance to team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work.
- Manage and optimize the company’s debt collection process.
- Collaborate with the Head of Finance to oversee the end-of-year statutory audit process.
- Prepare VAT returns and assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Take on additional departmental responsibilities as needed.
- Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks and special projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role.
- Strong team player with excellent cross-departmental communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Progress toward an ACCA qualification or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is advantageous.
