On behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their expanding Finance Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements in adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain accounting systems and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Provide expert guidance to team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work.
  • Manage and optimize the company’s debt collection process.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to oversee the end-of-year statutory audit process.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Take on additional departmental responsibilities as needed.
  • Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks and special projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong team player with excellent cross-departmental communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Progress toward an ACCA qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is advantageous.
