Our client, a well-established insurance company in Malta, is looking to expand their team with the addition of an Actuarial Analyst. This role offers a great opportunity to learn and contribute to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct actuarial analyses for Non-Life insurance products, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in pricing, reserving, and risk assessment activities.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and improve business strategies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting actuarial work.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of data science methodologies in actuarial processes.
- Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Undergraduate/Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the Non-Life actuarial field.
- Ideally a part-qualified actuary with a willingness to pursue actuarial credentials.
- Strong analytical skills, with programming abilities or a keen interest in developing these skills.
- Knowledge or interest in data science concepts and methodologies is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
