AIMS International Malta is pleased to be assisting our client who services the public sector. They are growing their team with the addition of a QC Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in guiding the Supervision Section's strategic direction and supervisory functions.
- Develop and implement an annual quality check plan for supervisory activities and AML/CFT compliance examinations.
- Lead the Quality Control team, ensuring adherence to the quality control plan.
- Maintain and update the Supervision Section’s policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provide internal training on supervision-related policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate recording of supervisory activities for statistical purposes.
- Liaise with Competent Authorities, including the Malta Financial Services Authority and Malta Gaming Authority.
- Coordinate with local and international supervisory authorities, including the European Central Bank and European Banking Authority.
- Assist in compiling questionnaires and evaluations for local and international bodies.
- Participate in committees and discussions on compliance examination results.
- Represent the organization at international meetings and workshops.
- Support strategic and ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
- University Degree in law, banking and finance, financial services, insurance, accounting, auditing, statistics, or economics.
- Minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a senior role.
- Proficient in Maltese laws on money laundering and terrorism financing, and familiar with international standards and EU legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Internal Audit experience is an asset.
