AIMS International Malta is pleased to be assisting our client who services the public sector. They are growing their team with the addition of a Junior Risk Officer.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments of subject persons across all sectors, ensuring alignment with the risk assessment methodology and timely completion.
  • Compile risk evaluation questionnaires.
  • Continuously update risk profiles by identifying and monitoring significant changes and trends.
  • Support the Risk Manager, Assistant Manager, Risk Associates, and Supervision Section in risk-related projects and tasks.
  • Assist in extracting, collating, and analyzing data from thematic and other supervisory reviews to provide guidance, including drafting guidance papers.
  • Provide risk data and trends to supervision teams for compliance examinations.
  • Help Risk Associates verify risk data through validation checks, document reviews, and supervisory meetings.
  • Liaise and coordinate with various Competent Authorities, such as the MFSA, MGA, Sanctions Monitoring Board, National Coordination Committee, Malta Police, and others as needed.
  • Assist in evaluations and assessments by local and international bodies, including the EU, Egmont Group, MONEYVAL, FATF, etc.
Requirements:
  • MQF Level 5 qualification in Risk Management, Banking and Finance, Financial Services, Audit, or any other related field.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeable of the laws governing AML/CTF in Malta, along with applicable international standards and EU legislation.
  • Experience in risk assessment, data analysis, or statistics is an asset..
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite.
