Our client that operates within the public sector, is currently looking to recruit a Data Analytics Lead to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Leading and taking ownership of data analytics initiatives and related projects within the Data Management & Analytics section.
Designing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to meet business and user needs.
Collaborating with data engineers to define requirements and optimize data pipelines.
Applying statistical techniques (e.g., regression, classification) to uncover insights, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
Supporting national and sectoral risk assessments by understanding and leveraging ML/FT risks.
Presenting data-driven insights and contextual information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Researching and testing the use of AI and advanced analytics in business processes through proof of concepts and pilot projects.
Working closely with in-house tech teams, system owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align with the section's objectives.
Mentoring and guiding junior team members to promote growth and knowledge sharing.
Documenting processes and analytics projects to support knowledge transfer and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

A MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics or a related field, and 5+ years of relevant experience (including at least 1 year in a senior role);
OR An MQF Level 5 qualification in the same fields, with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Advanced knowledge of analytics tools/languages, especially Power BI and/or Python (including libraries like Pandas).
Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, with experience in modeling techniques such as regression and classification.
Comfortable working with large datasets and complex data environments.
Knowledge of AML/CFT principles, processes, and solutions.
Proficient in SQL and database fundamentals.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their real-world applications.
Experience in mentoring or coaching junior professionals.
