Responsibilities:
- Leading and taking ownership of data analytics initiatives and related projects within the Data Management & Analytics section.
- Designing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to meet business and user needs.
- Collaborating with data engineers to define requirements and optimize data pipelines.
- Applying statistical techniques (e.g., regression, classification) to uncover insights, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
- Supporting national and sectoral risk assessments by understanding and leveraging ML/FT risks.
- Presenting data-driven insights and contextual information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Researching and testing the use of AI and advanced analytics in business processes through proof of concepts and pilot projects.
- Working closely with in-house tech teams, system owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align with the section's objectives.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members to promote growth and knowledge sharing.
- Documenting processes and analytics projects to support knowledge transfer and troubleshooting.
- A MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Analytics or a related field, and 5+ years of relevant experience (including at least 1 year in a senior role);
- OR An MQF Level 5 qualification in the same fields, with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of analytics tools/languages, especially Power BI and/or Python (including libraries like Pandas).
- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, with experience in modeling techniques such as regression and classification.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and complex data environments.
- Knowledge of AML/CFT principles, processes, and solutions.
- Proficient in SQL and database fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their real-world applications.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching junior professionals.
