Our client, a newly established Electronic Money Institution (EMI), that is offering innovative solutions designed to streamline operations, boost productivity, and elevate overall performance, is currently looking to recruit a CTO to join their team. Reporting to the board, the selected individual will be responsible for advancing the company's technological initiatives and leading digital transformation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the company’s technological vision and development, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage digital transformation projects to enhance operational efficiency and business processes.
- Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies to maintain competitive advantage and support business growth.
- Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of technology solutions.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate technology solutions that support the company’s strategic goals.
- Ensure all technological processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the payment industry in Malta, preferably in the role of CTO or Deputy CTO.
- In-depth understanding of the technical and technological requirements of Maltese legislation for connecting to payment systems, the Bank of Malta, MFSA, Financial Intelligence, DORA, CRS, and other organizations for information exchange.
- Knowledge of the local market of IT companies providing services for payment solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of PSI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) standards.
- Ability to provide recommendations for improving the performance of the IT department, including process optimization, implementation of new technologies, and ensuring security.
- Experience in organizing the work of staff, including forming and managing a highly effective team.
