Our client, a well-established law firm in Malta, is currently looking to recruit a Regulatory Executive to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, compile, and submit regulatory licensing applications on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with the relevant authorities.
- Provide advisory services to clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including interpreting and applying financial laws and regulations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients seeking advice and guidance on regulatory and licensing issues.
- Liaise with the MFSA, addressing queries, and managing follow-up actions during both the application process and the post-licensing phase.
- Draft, review, and update compliance documents, policies, and procedures, including compliance monitoring programs, to ensure regulatory standards are met.
- Monitor ongoing regulatory obligations and ensure clients consistently meet statutory requirements.
- Attend Board Meetings to provide assistance with compliance-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments, industry trends, and legislative changes, and communicate these to relevant clients.
- Participate in legal and regulatory due diligence exercises.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of change of control applications to the MFSA.
Requirements:
- A degree in Law would be preferred but not essential.
- A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a regulatory licensing role
- In-depth knowledge of the Maltese regulatory environment, particularly in financial services.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
