Our client, a well-known CSP in Malta, is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting members of the client payroll team in preparing and executing payroll for multiple clients including collecting data from timesheets and rosters and inputting data on payroll software;
  • Liaise with clients’ requests and queries;
  • Perform the distribution of wages through the issuance of cheques or direct transfers to employees’ bank accounts;
  • Assist clients with the onboarding and offboarding process of their employees including submission of employee information to JobsPlus;
  • Ensure that client employee records are kept up to date and in line with employment and data protection regulations;
  • Ensure to keep proper filing of documentation;
  • General administrative work and other duties emanating from the role;
  • Assisting in other financial, accounting, banking, and fiscal duties, as may be directed by the line manager from time to time.

Requirements:

  • A minimum O' Level standard of education, preferably in Accounts, with at least 6 months' experience in a similar role;
  • Holders of Payroll and/or HR-related qualifications will be given preference;
  • Knowledge of one or more payroll software tools coupled with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Knowledge of Maltese Employment law and HR systems such as BambooHR, Indigo and the like, would be considered an asset;
  • Excellent ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written;
  • A proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal departments ensuring lines of communication remain open;
  • Ability to work as part of a team, assisting others where necessary to ensure all deadlines are met;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision;
  • Ability to prioritise between different clients and deadlines according to urgency and ability to multi-task.
