Our client, a Public Entity, is looking to hire an Assistant Manager - Enforcement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing, supervising, and reviewing enforcement measures and team performance.
  • Oversee the implementation of directives issued to subject persons.
  • Coordinate resources to maximize team efficiency.
  • Ensure team members receive adequate training, guidance, and leadership.
  • Monitor, follow up, and assess team operations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participate in Compliance Monitoring Committees as necessary.
  • Prepare and assist in court file preparation as needed.
  • Keep superiors updated on team activities and progress.
  • Plan team operations to align with section priorities and targets.
  • Review and maintain Enforcement Section policies, procedures, and database.
  • Provide AML training and public awareness.
  • Liaise with local and foreign supervisory authorities on enforcement matters.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and one-to-one meetings with team members.
  • Advise senior management and relevant stakeholders on enforcement-related matters.
  • Represent the organization in international for a when required.
  • Fulfill any other duties assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

  • MQF Level 6 qualification in Law, Accounting, Audit, Banking & Finance, Financial Services, Insurance, or Economics.
  • 5 Years relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing laws, EU Directives, and related domestic legislation.
  • Familiarity with financial services and banking sector operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Maltese and English.
  • Proven technical competence, efficiency, ethical responsibility, and diligence.
